Welcome to Essence. These Terms and Conditions govern the sale, delivery, and installation of fitted furniture by Essence (“we”, “us”, “our”) to you, the customer. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions, which outline our mutual rights and responsibilities. These terms apply to all products and services provided by Essence, including design, supply, and installation of fitted furniture.

- Supply: Provision of custom-made furniture components.
- Installation: Professional fitting services by our approved installers.

3. Our Products

- Quality Assurance: Our fitted furniture is crafted to high standards. We ensure that all products are free from manufacturing defects at the time of delivery.
- Product Descriptions: While we strive for accuracy, slight variations in colour, texture, and dimensions may occur due to natural materials and manufacturing processes.

4. Orders & Payments

- Quotations: Valid for 30 days from the date issued.
- Deposits: A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order.
- Order Confirmation: A contract is formed once we receive your written acceptance and the required deposit.
- Final Payment: Due upon completion of installation.
- Payment Methods: We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and other agreed methods.
- Late Payments: may attract interest charges as permitted by law.
Please ensure timely payments to avoid delays in delivery or installation.
5. Cancellations & Amendments

- Cancellation: You may cancel your order within 14 days of confirmation for a full refund.
- Amendments: Changes to orders after 14 days may incur additional charges and affect delivery times.
- Custom Orders: Due to their bespoke nature, cancellations after production has commenced may not be possible.
6. Delivery & Installation

- Scheduling: We will coordinate delivery and installation dates with you in advance.
- Access: Ensure clear access to the installation area.
- Preparation: Please remove personal items and valuables from the work area.
- Delays: We will inform you promptly of any unforeseen delays.
- Once Delivered: bespoke furniture cannot be returned or refunded unless faulty.
Our installation team will work efficiently to minimise disruption to your home.
7. Customer Responsibilities

- Access: Ensure that our team has clear access to the installation area.
- Utilities: Provide access to necessary utilities (electricity, water) during installation.
- Permissions: Obtain any necessary permissions or consents for the installation.
8. Product Care & Maintenance
To maintain the quality and longevity of your fitted furniture:

- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth with mild detergent.
- Avoid: Harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, and excessive moisture.
- Ventilation: Ensure proper room ventilation to prevent moisture buildup.
Adhering to these guidelines will help preserve the appearance and functionality of your furniture.
9. Guarantees & Warranties
Essence offers the following warranties:

- Installation Workmanship: 5-year warranty covering installation quality.
- Furniture Components: 25-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
- Kitchen Doors: 5-year warranty.
These warranties do not cover:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Damage due to misuse or neglect.
- Unauthorised modifications or repairs.
Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
10. Liability
Essence is not liable for:

- Delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, supply chain disruptions).
- Damage resulting from improper use or maintenance of the products.
Our total liability is limited to the value of the goods and services provided.
11. Privacy & Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your personal information. Your data will be used solely for order processing, service delivery, and customer support. We comply with all applicable data protection laws.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
